Breakfast Tray with Egg and Coffee Limoges Box

Breakfast in bed gets its own porcelain portrait here, with a tray set for the morning with an egg and a cup of coffee ready to go. This is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

Sunny Side of the Morning

There is something about a tray carried in on a slow Sunday that feels like a holiday. The painted tray, the egg and the steaming cup are all finished by hand, so every box has its own brushwork and small differences in shading.

Who Wakes Up Smiling

It suits a bed and breakfast owner, a diner regular, or the person in the house who always makes the coffee. It is a sweet Mother's Day thought from the family who brings her breakfast, and a fun touch for a newly married couple's first kitchen.

Setting the Table

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Groups well with coffee pot, teacup, croissant and toast boxes
• Looks at home on a breakfast nook shelf or kitchen hutch

Put it beside the coffee maker or on a guest room nightstand, where it quietly suggests that someone is about to be spoiled with breakfast.
