Green Paint Tube Porcelain Limoges Box

A tube of green paint, squeezed and ready for the palette, takes shape here in porcelain. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box figurine made in Limoges, France, a small tribute to the painter's craft and the colors of the landscape.

Fresh From the Paint Box

Green is the color painters reach for most when they head outside to capture fields, trees and gardens. This tube celebrates that essential hue with a touch of humor, since it is a hand-painted version of a paint tube. Artists tend to appreciate the joke right away.

The Painter's Kit

• Porcelain made and painted in Limoges
• Fits an artist, painting or studio collection
• Group it with the canary yellow tube for a pair of colors

Landscape Lessons

Set it on an easel ledge, beside a jar of brushes or on a bookshelf with art books. It makes a handy present for a plein air painter, an art student, a landscape artist or a retiring art teacher. Line it up with the palette boxes and the yellow tube to build a little studio scene that any painter would recognize.
